Nest’s return, walk in nature, at Manly Dam

As the restrictions of the COVID pandemic slowly ease, on November 6 2021, Nest resumed a seasonal walk in Manly Warring War Memorial State Park – known as Manly Dam.

Manly Dam is a former heritage located near King Street, Manly Vale with a reservoir extending into Allambie Heights, both in the Northern Beaches Council, NSW.

We walked the path around the dam which is surrounded by bushes. It is a special place that includes the remains of Aboriginal camps. It is also home to a wide variety of flora and fauna, including numerous endangered species.

The walk ended with a picnic in one of the picnic areas with lunch that is exclusively ready for this event, “Gulash”, a specialty of our local chef Dule, very well known for its specialties cooked in a cauldron.
