Australian Closed 2021

On February 27-28, 2021, Nest Incorporated held the 9th traditional amateur tennis tournament. This charity event brought together a large number of members of our community from all over Sydney, who enjoyed socialising and sports activities throughout the weekend.

We can proudly say that this event is getting better every year, so this year the Nest team managed to organise the biggest and most visited tournament so far. We collected a record amount of 25 thousand dollars. A donation will be sent from this fund to support charitable programs related to vulnerable children in Balkan Regions, as in all previous years.

The main focus was on a tennis tournament where several hundred visitors have the opportunity to see great amateur players but also young talents who could in the near future find themselves in the world of professional tennis.

The best match at the tournament was in the women’s competition, between two talented teenagers, Tie Vuk Ljuboja and Milana Dejanović. Visitors could enjoy watching the high level of tennis in their final match.

In the men’s final, two experienced competitors met, and the title went to Nebojša Jovičić for the third time, who defeated the double champion Željko Stanišić.

On the eve of the two finals, a humanitarian auction was held, which included mostly sports equipment and signed T-shirts of Serbian and Australian athletes. Nest received the largest donation by selling a T-shirt signed by Novak Đoković.

Thank you all for such a great humanitarian weekend
