2019 Nest’s Humanitarian Actions

As every year, the biggest sporting fundraising event Nest “Australian Closed” was successful and raised funds that helped us achieve our goal for this year. Aside from AC, it was a good year, full of fun and sporting activities. Nest managed to donate goods to children in need in two phases.

Thank you to all the good people for their humanitarian donations and participation in our humanitarian actions.

Nest supports a holistic approach that improves the living conditions of vulnerable children, giving them opportunities to realise their full potential in life.

2019 Charity Campaign – Part 1
The 1st stage of 2019 charity campaign was money donation to Royal Far West which is directed to their programs that support children’s development, learning and health in rural and remote areas of Australia. The fund raised during Nest Inc. Australian Closed Junior Tournament is dedicated to help their team of specialists to assess, diagnose and provide dedicated therapies – so country kids can thrive and reach their full potential.

Thanks to your donations and funds raised during Australian Closed 2019, we were able to deliver the much needed sporting goods to our little protege and judo champion Mila Petrović.

Mila was overwhelmed with the delivered goods and was very proud to showcase them to our photographer.

2019 Charity Campaign – Part 2
Following the first stage 2019 donation made to Royal Far West and the delivery of training goods to our judo athlete Mila Petrovic, we are extremely proud to announce that we have now completed our goals for this 2019 Nest Inc Charity Action. On 12/08/2019 we have delivered to Central Zvezda/Star Center the much awaited laser cutting and engraving machine (JQ 9060). We are all excited about what’s ahead for the youth at Centar Zvezda as this new machine will allow them to expend their product offer, and therefore target a wider customer base.

All benefits from the products manufactured by residents of the Houses of Opportunities contribute to a self-sustainable ecosystem and independent funding of Centar Zvezda, as well as providing those youth lifetime skills and social guidance for their adult years after leaving the social care system.

We are hoping that the use of this laser engraving device will generate revenue which will allow the opening of many more (and much needed) House of Opportunities.

Residents of the “Zvezda” Centre presented their candles and New Year’s decorations made with the help of the laser cutting JQ 9060 machine, in the show “Practical Woman” broadcast on Serbian television in December 2019.
